This Saturday in White Plains, NY at the Westchester County Center, I will be appearing at New York Comics Fest. I’ve been looking forward to this event for a long time. The County Center is where I received my Masters and attended my first wrestling match. Come by and say hi.

Tickets can be purchased here.

I will also be appearing  Sunday at Eternal Con in Garden City at the Pronto Comics booth.

Like Wicked Game? Want to meet some of the creators? Come meet me and letterer Mindy “Indy” Steffen (Daily Misfortune), this Saturday at Book Expo USA at the Jacob Javits Center!

I will be at Booth 3151 peddling and signing copies of Wicked Game, along with the aforementioned Mindy Indy and other cool people like Joseph Carlough, Alitha Martinez, and Amy Chu (Vertigo Quarterly: Cyan, Girls Night Out).

Remember Booth 3151, the booth that rhymes with fun.

Merry Christmas to all! As a present for all of you, here is a preview of my comic book, “Wicked Game.” Written, drawn, and lettered for your enjoyment.  Writing comics is a passion of mine and the completion of this book is one of my greatest accomplishments.

It’s something I couldn’t have done without my collaborators: Cary Watson; who did the logo, Mindy Steffen; my letterer, Suzi Lorraine; a great actress/writer who is the model for the character of Maria, and Roderic Rodriguez; a gem whose art brought this story to life.

Thank you so much for reading this preview. I hope you enjoy it. If you do be sure to like the Facebook page and keep checking this page for news about this exciting book. Have a wonderful holiday season.

UPDATE: Check out my appearance on Evil Jester Presents with fellow writers Charles Day, Jeremy Mays, and H.E. Goodhue. We talk comics, writing, and of course “Wicked Game.” Click here to listen. Preview is after the jump!

At New York Comic Con I had the privilege of interviewing superstar writer Jane Espenson (Buffy, Once Upon a Time, Game of Thrones) and Brad Bell about the development of their online series, Husbands.

How did they pitch the series? How do they deal with controversy?  And would they ever write a Wonder Woman movie? Find out after the jump!

Hello readers, I’d like to announce a comic book I’m planning to publish.

Set in the near future, Wicked Game is the story of David and Kristina and their quest to rescue Kristina’s sister from human traffickers.

A cross between Taken and Blade Runner, Wicked Game is a Science-Fiction/Film Noir ballad sung to the tune of Chris Issak’s classic song that takes the reader deep into a world of manipulation, vice, and violence. It’s the perfect comic book to hide from your parents.

Joining me on the art front is Roderic Rodriguez. Roderic’s work has appeared in Zenoscope’s Grimm Fairy Tales along with several independent titles. He’s called Wicked Game is the “best work I’ve done in comics” and if the sample above is any indication, the best is yet to come.

For now, here’s a glimpse at the cover but be sure to keep checking this page for more news, images, and information on how to order the book. It’s going to be a fun ride.
